Rape Culture

At this time and point in our generation we have a rapidly climbing, reoccurring event that is called rape culture.  Rape culture is a new thing in our era where rape is almost perceived to be an okay thing and is looked past in many ways.  The definition of rape is the penetration of any sorts, no consent, and where a person forcing themselves upon someone else.  But now days people have redefined rape to only a different stature and for this we have to point the finger at multimedia and advertisement. Reason for this is because the people the run these things have almost said that these things are okay in todays’ culture.  A lot of music today has a hint of rape culture in it, but to hear it you must not listen to the music but the lyrics of the music.  This music is usually heard by many different sections of ages but primarily targeted at old teenagers and young adults.  But this does not mean rape is isolated to only one age group it stretches across many age groups.  To fix this problem the people must find the root of the problem and terminate it because, even if you stop it for one generation the problem will only just return only in a different form.  The most likely roots of the problem are in music and video producers. These people produce a sense of masculinity to the male audience and give off message through both music and videos that it is okay to belittle women around them.  When in fact that it is not okay to do so, because if the youth believes that these action are okay then it will only start a pandemic for generation to come.  To prevent all of these to continue we must stop all media and etc. that promotes rape culture.

Who Am I pt2

My parents have been a major part of the structure of my life.  They have molded the way I have viewed on many different ideas. Such as how I treat the people around me and who I encounter throughout my life.

The heredity part that I received from my parents was quiet diverse. From my mother I received from was many different European heritage, such as Irish, German, and little bit of Russian. I didn't receive many physical features from my mother, but from my father I received many different physical features. Such as skin color, hair type/color, facial features, and athletic ability.

The cultural Environment of my life has helped mold the personality that I have today. Such as the fact that I'm pretty outgoing, easy to get along with, talkative, and competitive.  The reason for most of these personalities is because of the many siblings I have and how we interacted with one another.

When it comes to birth order I am a middle child who was treated as such.  Throughout my childhood I have had to prove myself through most activities because I did not receive attention as much as the oldest or the youngest. But this has proven to help me become the person today and how I take on many situations.

All of these things have shaped the was I am today but the one that has really shaped me an individual has to be the Cultural Environment, because of the fact that the environment is the major factor that shapes who I am as a person.

Birth Order

I do believe that birth order effects who you become as a person. Also I believe that the baby of the family is treated nicer compared to maybe the first born. The birth order does effect how the parents treat their kids because the first born is more or less trial and error. While with the youngest child the parents will use what they have learned from the first born to help ready the child in there childhood. This could cause sibling rivalry amongst each other "Sibling rivalry and the constant bickering and fighting that it sparks can drive parents crazy". But on the other hand many middle children don't get much attention not caring to much about the sibling rivalry. In the end many times the birth order does effect the way children are treated by parents in their childhood and how they act when they grow up as adults.

Effects on our lives

Media effects a major part of all of our lives because it is everywhere now days. You can't go anywhere without running into advertisements or social media. Although media can spread a thought fast it can also cause many of us to become narrow-minded and get caught up in mainstream media, making people only maybe see a topic in one perspective. Family is a huge part of the way we are today because they are the people that we are raised around for a critical part of a person life. Friends are sometimes a good thing but also can become a bad thing because they can give us a negative perspective. Negative perspective causing people needing to surround themselves with positive friends. Religion has an effect on how we view many topics of present day. An education is a massive part of who we become, because with the right education we can become the most successful people but without we may become bums.
